How Deep I'll Go
How Far I’ll Go by Auli'i Cravalho
Changed to: How Deep I’ll Go by Zinfandel Dawnchaser (@ZincredibleD on Twitter)
I've been dreamin' of exploring a dungeon
'Long as I can remember, never really knowing why.
I know what it's like to be a young'un
who'd give anything to plunge in to a cavern that I could not scry.
Every day I trained and I did not rest.
It was foreordained I would take this quest.
With my sword in tow, I'll descend below, where I'm called to be.
See the gloom in the depths of this tomb? It draws me
And no one knows, how deep it goes.
If the light shining bright from my torch stays before me
One day I'll know, if I go there's just no telling how deep I'll go.
I know everybody in this village fears the roving bands who pillage.
They're always wanting to retreat.
Sick of everybody in this village, all so skittish of the spillage
From the monsters I defeat.
I could save their butts if I stick around
But I'm drawn to what's buried underground
In the darkness where I can boldly dare, and I'll feel carefree!
Oh, the grim fortress dim that I'll delve. It's compelling
And no one knows, what fiends oppose,
Or what dark evil deeds someone needs to be quelling—
I'll fight that foe--if it needs to die I can't help but try!
See the gloom in the depths of this tomb? It draws me
And no one knows, how deep it goes.
If the light shining bright from my torch stays before me
One day I'll know, how deep I'll go!
